We had been planning a ‘Conservation and Family Funday’ on Saturday 26th May at Alderman Canal, but we hadn’t realised that the fun fair will be there that weekend – and the fun fair takes up most of the space. We’ve therefore decided to cancel the ‘Conservation and Family Funday’. However we are planning a special event at Alderman Canal for Saturday 23rd June – put the date in your diary!
The conservation session at the Wildlife Garden, Kelly Road, on Saturday 26th May is also cancelled.

Sarah Kilshaw – ‘Resting Blur of Sunlight’
Winner Under–16 category

| Judges’ comments: Nathan has managed to capture a fantastic piece of nature in its rawest form – the constant fight for survival! The composition used works very well because it shows all the important parts – the head of the snake and the partially consumed frog. |
|
Judges’ comments: The rays of light through the wings make this sparkle like a living jewel! The dragonfly also stands out very well due to the uncluttered and attractive background. |
